OFFICIAL: We’ve agreed to terms with 4x All-Star, 2x Silver Slugger, 2x All-MLB First Team Member, 2x Tip O'Neill Award Winner, Hank Aaron Award Winner, and Gold Glover Vladimir Guerrero Jr. on a 14-year contract extension! pic.twitter.com/BKGkidltw1
It prominently features Guerrero's iconic smile (which we'll likely be seeing a lot more now that he's got his extension), his trademark "shushing" celebration, him a toddler on the field with his dad in Montreal and his arms outstretched in celebration.
It's not every day that a team inks a player like Guerrero to a long-term contract, so the Blue Jays needed to meet their mark with the announcement— and they did.
They followed the initial tweet up with a video narrated by Guerrero that breaks down his journey through baseball.
"This is where i first fell in love with the game and my childhood dream became a reality," Guerrero said in the video. "From day one you embraced me as one of yours, and we've made memories together that I'll remember forever."

Home is Canada.
Home is Here.

And while Guerrero refelcted on the past, he also took some time to remind everyone that the future is bright.
"We still have some more memories to make together for the years to come," he said. "This was always my home. I am home."
Not only will the way Toronto confirmed this signing tug at Toronto's heartstrings, but will also allow fans to truly let the signing set in.
With Guerrero and Anthony Santander locked in for the long-term, the Blue Jays lineup should be able to contend in the stacked American League East for years to come.
The quest to get Guerrero extended was a soap opera that features plenty of finger pointing from both sides, but in the end both sides were able to come together to help reach the shared goal of keeping Guerrero in Toronto.
Like Guerrero said, he's home. Now we'll get a chance to see if he can bring a championship to that home.
