The Toronto Blue Jays have gotten out to a strong start in 2025. So strong, in fact, that it looks like they've put their rough 2024 season behind them. Now this newfound offensive firepower begs the question of if they can keep up with the rest of the American League East as the season goes on.

And those American League East foes have started the season hot. The New York Yankees have exploded offensively, the Baltimore Orioles have come out of the gates hot, the Tampa Bay Rays have hit well in their new park and the young guns of the Boston Red Sox have been playing well.

But even with all of that, we think the Blue Jays should be able to keep up with what should be an exciting division.

Can the Blue Jays offense keep up with the rest of the AL East?

The simple answer is yes, they can. They already have strong bats in Anthony Santander, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and Bo Bichette, and now seem to have a budding power hitter in Andrés Giménez. Those four players should give everyone enough confidence in the team's ability to maintain their offensive production over 162 games.

Gimenez, who had just nine home runs last season, already has three this season. He has changed his batting stance a bit, and it seems to be benefitting him. His hot streak may not be sustainable, but fans should be confident in his ability to surpass his totals from last season.

Tyler Heineman, the Blue Jays' backup catcher, also has a home run this season and has done well so far. Other depth pieces like Nathan Lukes, Ernie Clement, and Alan Roden have shown signs of consistency early in the season, and if they can keep a solid pace, they can be big parts of the team's success this season.

Davis Schneider and Myles Straw starting a bit slow shouldn't concern fans either, as they should find find their footing as the season goes on. When you combine all these factors, it's clear that the Blue Jays' offense should be able to keep up with the rest of the division — if not surpass them.
