The Toronto Blue Jays have seen many of their top prospects move on up to make it to the big show this season. Whether it be Brandon Valenzuela, Yohendrick Pinango, or Charles McAdoo, their strong performances in the minors earned them their rightful promotion to the majors.
However, it hasn’t been just this trio that have been impressing in the Blue Jays' farm system this season. Three other Blue Jays top prospects are putting together fantastic years and are pushing for a promotion from their respective minor league level right now.
Blue Jays top prospects who are on their way up the ladder in 2026
INF Juan Sánchez
Juan Sánchez might have had a slow in 2026 with the Blue Jays’ Single-A affiliate Dunedin. However, Sánchez has picked things up recently and has been on a hot streak as a result. The Blue Jays No. 6 prospect according to MLB Pipeline has hit safely in 12 of his past 13 games entering Sunday.

In June alone, Sánchez has compiled a .371 average, 1.111 OPS, along with nine runs scored, five doubles, two home runs and 10 RBIs in nine games of action. At this rate, the Jays “special prospect” could be booking his ticket to High-A Vancouver if he manages to continue to roll.
INF Sean Keys
Blue Jays No. 14 prospect Sean Keys has had a breakout 2026 campaign so far this season. Starting the year in with Double-A New Hampshire, Keys annihilated Double-A pitching by amassing a .285 batting average, .993 OPS, with 43 runs scored, nine doubles, 14 home runs and 34 RBIs in 49 total games played.

The 23-year-old infielder was rewarded with a well-deserved promotion to Triple-A Buffalo where he has continued his dominance by hitting above .300 with a close to 1.000 OPS. As per Mitch Bannon of the Athletic, with the way Keys has been mashing the ball this year, he may eventually even make his way to a Blue Jays major league debut in 2026 as a bonafide lefty power bat.
P Johnny King
Finally, we have perhaps one of the fastest risers in the Blue Jays system in top pitching prospect Johnny King. At just 19 years of age and ranked the No. 3 prospect in the entire Jays organization, King has excelled so far in his first minor league season with Vancouver.
In 12 starts to date, the left-hander has posted a 2-1 record with an impressive 2.13 ERA, along with a whopping 59 strikeouts in 42.1 innings pitched. With his potential ascension to Double-A New Hampshire in the coming weeks, King could be on the fast track to become a part of the Blue Jays future rotation in due time. That is, of course, if he doesn’t end up being traded away during the Jays’ current contending window given his current high value.
