Justin Shafer held down the Loons over 7 innings and recorded the win. He only allowed 3 hits and struck out 2. The pen held it together for the remaining 2 innings which allowed the Lugnuts a chance to keep the 1-0 lead intact. Alex Maldonado cracked an RBI single in the 7th to finally break up the 0-0 pitchers duel. Lansing did not score enough runs to really show off an excellent night on the bases for the Lugnuts. They were able to swipe 4 bases off the Loon battery.
