The Toronto Blue Jays will have every back and ready to go for Game 6 of the World Series on Friday night at the Rogers Centre. After missing the previous two games, George Springer is back in the leadoff spot and will be the teams designated hitter.

The Blue Jays are one win away from their first World Series championship in 32 years as they lead the LA Dodgers 3-2 in the series.

George Springer returns to Blue Jays lineup for Game 6 of the World Series

The move pushes Bo Bichette out of the DH spot and has him going back to second base, while in the lineup, Nathan Lukes is slotted back into the number two hole, with Vladdy behind him. Bichette hits fourth and he's followed by Daulton Varsho (CF), Alejandro Kirk (C), Addison Barger (RF), Ernie Clement (3B) and Andrés Giménez (SS).

Springer is hitting .246/.323/.561 with four home runs and nine RBIs in the post season and has come up clutch all October for the Blue Jays, something the Dodgers would have liked to avoid as they try to stave off elimination. While they have Yoshinobu Yamamoto starting on the mound, it can't feel good to see the guy who just won't stay down, coming back into the lineup.

Springer had already suffered a potential postseason ending injury in Game 5 of the ALCS when he was hit in the knee on a pitch from Bryan Woo. Springer was removed from that game but returned to the lineup for the Blue Jays in Games 6 and 7 and ended up hitting what turned out to be the game winning, three-run home run for Toronto in the bottom of the seventh inning in the final game of the ALCS.

Yamamoto pitched a complete game effort in Game 2 of the World Series at Rogers Centre, and that was a game that included Springer in the lineup. But all year long, the Blue Jays have managed to hit guys well the more they see them, and especially Springer who has come through in key moments all year long, who wll be looking to add one more potentially to his resume.
