The Blue Jays have been well represented at the All-Star Game over the past few seasons. While Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was the team's lone representative last year, the Blue Jays sent at least four players to the Midsummer Classic from 2021-'23.
It looks like this year could be another year where Toronto has multiple representatives. Guerrero seems like a lock thanks to a hot May, but right now the Blue Jay with a best chance to join him in Atlanta for this year's All-Star game is none other than George Springer.
The Blue Jays entered the year in desperate need from a bounce back season from Springer, and he's answered the call so far this season.
Not only is his production among the best on the team, but his advanced metrics are making it seem like this year isn't a fluke.
Springer is currently batting .265 (36-for-136) with five home runs and 18 RBI. His OPS has climbed to .840 thanks to an on-base percentage of .377 and a slugging percentage of .463. He also has a wRC+ of 144 which is way above the MLB average of 100.
A big reason as the why Springer's had so much success this year is due to the quality of contact he's getting. His average exit velocity is 92.9 miles per hour, which is in the 91st percentile and would be the highest mark of his career. He also has an outstanding barrel rate of 18.1%, which is in the 97th percentile.
His plate discipline has also been excellent. His chase rate in the 97th percentile (17.2%) and his walk rate is up to 15% after being 9.8% last year. He's not chasing balls out of the zone and is punishing pitches that pitchers throw over the plate, which is how he had so much success early in his career.
George Springer is turning back the clock in 2025
And all that could result in Springer earning his first All-Star nod since the 2022 season. This year's All-Star Game will take place on July 15 at 8 p.m., and he has a legit All-Star case. Springer's been worth 0.9 fWAR so far this year, which is near the top of the leaderboard for right fielders.

The biggest thing going against Springer will be his defense and lack of a true position. He and Anthony Santander have swapped between right field and designated hitter this year, but it might be tough for him to crack the American League's designated hitter rotation thanks to Rafael Devers' strong season.
Aaron Judge is far and away the best right fielder in the American League, and he's followed by guys like Kerry Carpenter, Wilyer Abreu and Zach McKinstry. All fine players, but Springer's the best of that bunch when he's on.
While Springer's made it to four All-Star Games in his career, only one of them came with the Blue Jays (the aforementioned 2022 nod).
He could change that this year if he keeps swinging the bat well.
