Dunedin Blue Jays vs Tampa Yankees
Game 1 (Win 2-0)
The matinee game was dominated by pitching on both sides. Jonathan Holder and Shane Dawson went toe to toe in this one. Both of them went the distance but Holder blinked in the 5th inning. Jorge Saez took a Holder pitch for a ride as he popped a 2 run homer. This would be all the offense that Dawson would need to complete the win. Dawson pitched incredibly as he held the Yankees to 1 hit through his 7 innings of work. The one hit would be the lone base runner for the for the Yanks as Dawson would not allow a walk and struck out 4.
Line of the game
Shane Dawson 7 IP, 1 hit, 0 walks, 0 runs, 4 strikeouts
Game 2 (Win 3-1)
Another well pitched ball game for the D-Jays would be enough to win this one. Jeremy Gabryszwski got things rolling in this one and would go onto pitch 5 innings and only allow 1 run. He would also record 2 walks and 4 strikeouts as he kept the Yankees bats quiet. Arik Sikula came on in the 6th and slammed the door shut on the Yanks. He did not allow a hit and recorded his 5th save of the season. Boomer Collins would collect the lone RBI for the D-Jays on a single. The rest of the runs were scored off of Yankees issues.
Line of the game
Jeremy Gabryszwski 5 IP, 4 hit, 2 walks, 1 runs, 4 strikeouts
