Dunedin Blue Jays vs Daytona Tortugas (Loss 3-10)

Sean Reid-Foley got off to a rough start then was unable to work out of trouble in the 4th inning.  Battling his control Reid-Foley walked 3 batters and allowed 4 runs on 4 hits.  Brad Allen came on and tossed 3 innings but also allowed 2 runs and had control issues.  He also walked 3 batters in nearly the same amount of innings.  Matt Dermody was the last victim of the Tortugas lineup as he also was roughed up for 4 runs in the losing effort.  The Tortugas hot bats just ripped right through the D-Jay’s pitching staff Wednesday.

The offense just couldn’t get it started against Tortugas starter Jackson Stephens they were only able to manage 2 hits.  They were able to only manage 4 base runners period off of Stephens.  Anthony Alford managed to steal a base after collecting a single.  That was his 10th steal of the season.  The D-Jay’s pushed hard in the late innings and scavenged 3 runs together but it was to late by then.  The final of 10-3 would stick.  J.D. Davis and Andy Fermin collected 2 hits and an RBI each.

Line of the game

Andy Fermin 2-4 with a run scored and an RBI
