New Hampshire Fisher Cats @ Richmond Flying Squirrels (Loss 2-3)

The Fisher Cats found themselves in a pitchers duel against Richmond Wednesday.  Austin Bidens-Dirkx got things going and pitched 5.1 innings of 4 hits ball.  The Squirrels were able to scrape 2 runs together on those 4 hits but Bidens-Dirkx was looking good as he fanned 5 hitters and only walked 1.  John Anderson would come on to toss the next 1.2 innings and not surrender a run on only 2 hits.  Blake McFarland would come on and eventually allow the walk off hit to Rando Moreno.  McFarland allowed back to back singles to start the inning and then intentionally walked the 3rd batter to bring Moreno to the plate where he hit the walk off bloop to win it.

Kevin Nolan had a solid night with 2 hits and was drove in on a Ryan Schimpf double.  Later in the game Schimpf would score on a single by Derrick Chung.  Schimpf had a great night out of the clean up spot and was on base 3 times as he ended up going 1-2 with 2 walks.  The Squirrels dominant pitching did a good job keeping the Cat bats asleep through out the game.  The Cat offense was only able to collect 6 hits and 2 walks.  That is just not enough base runners to put a big inning together.

Line of the game

Ryan Schimpf 1-2 with a double, a run scored, 2 walks, and an RBI
