Lansing Lugnuts (21-17 1 GB, 2nd)

The Lugnuts finished the week going winning 4 out of 7.  Mostly tight games this week.  Opposing teams scored at least 3 runs in each game.  The Lugnut attack had to keep hitting to keep in games.  The pitching staff had a mixed batch of rough outings that just became battles which the offense had to make up for.

Top Lugnuts

Batters

Anthony Alford– Continues to rake.  Batting .364 in his past 10 and collecting 8 runs scored.  Opposing pitching needs to stop allowing Alford on base.  His speed allowed him to swipe 5 bases in that time span and pitchers are walking him a ton.  He has been allowed 13 free passes in the past 10 games.

Ryan Mcbroom– He batted .306 over the past 10 with 6 RBI, a home run, and 5 runs scored.

Pitchers

Chase De Jong– De Jong turned in the only solid performance of a starter the past week.  Pitching 6 innings and not allowing a run while striking out 4.
