After an incredible performance in Tuesday's home opener against the Tigers, the Blue Jays host Detroit for Game 2. The Jays are now 7-4 to start the year, while the Tigers are 2-8 and in last place in the AL Central.

The Rogers Centre roof will be wide open for this evening's contest, and the stands are set to be jam packed, as it's Vladimir Guerrero Jr. bobblehead night.

Probable starting pitchers

Kevin Gausman, one of the hottest pitchers in the game right now, will make the third start of his 2023 season. He has 12 innings under his belt through two starts and has yet to allow an earned run, striking out 14 and walking only three in the process. He (knock on wood) should have no troubles handling a Tigers lineup that has struggled mightily to begin the year.

Former Red Sox star Eduardo Rodriguez will take the mound for Detroit. The 30-year-old is playing out a huge five-year, $77M deal he signed prior to the start of last year. He, like Gausman, has two starts under his belt this year, but has struggled. In 10 innings of work, Rodriguez has allowed seven earned runs on nine hits, including three home runs.
