One of the more lesser-known prospects in the Blue Jays farm system is Adrian Pinto, a second baseman and outfielder who is currently playing with High-A Vancouver.
The 5-foot-6 Pinto swings a solid bat, and is currently ranked as the No. 21 prospect in Toronto's system according to MLB Pipeline. While he might not get the same fanfare as his teammate (and top prospect) Arjun NImmala, he's coming off a strong week that should help raise his profile.
Pinto hit .467 (7-for-15) last week with three home runs for a loaded Canadians team, which should help him earn more opportunities that haven't been there for him in seasons prior.
Pinto'z never exceeding 200 at-bats in a season, but he's been getting more playing this year. He's also coming off a strong April that earned him an inclusion on our minor league All-April Team.
He belted four home runs in April, which helped him record a .819 OPS. He also had seven walks compared to just 11 strikeouts and finished the month with a .246 batting average. That's a bit higher now after his strong week.
As mentioned above Pinto collecting seven hits last week in just four games. Four of those hits were for extra bases (three home runs and a double), and two of those homers came in one game.
He also stole two bases and struck out just once. Those stats helped him earnNorthwest League Player of the Week honors.

Pinto is now batting .284 (21-for-74) with an OPS of .984 and a 162 wRC+ in 19 games. He also has a .608 slugging and an on-base percentage of .376. He has seven home runs and nine RBI.
That power is a huge step forward for Pinto, who entered the year with nine home runs in his minor league career. Now he's only two home runs away from reaching that mark this season.
This is exactly want Toronto wants to see out of Pinto. He's showed that he has the eye and plate displicine needed for a leadoff hitter along with a decent amount of pop and power. Those are two skills that could help him earn a fast-track to an MLB promotion.
Blue Jays prospect Adrian Pinto just had a great week for High-A Vancouver
Pinto and Nimmala have both been great for Vancouver this year, which has been a great sign when it comes to the depth in the Blue Jays' system.
While it seems like Nimmala and starting pitcher Trey Yesavage will be part of the Blue Jays' next core, the rest of the picture is a bit hazy, which is where Pinto can come in.
He's a career .295 hitting across 181 minor league games, so it's clear that he's a talented player with the ability to make things happen at the plate. If Pinto is able to keep this pace up, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him work his way into the Blue Jays' MLB plans for 2026.
