Major League Baseball's awards season is just around the corner and FanSided (parent company of Jays Journal) has partnered with Louisville Slugger to announce the finalists and the award winners of the 2025 Silver Slugger Awards. The Toronto Blue Jays will likely have a few nominations as they finished as one of the best hitting teams in MLB this seasons. The finalists will be announced on October 22nd and the winners announced on November 6. With that in mind, lets take a look at the previous Blue Jays' who have taken home Silver Slugger hardware since it was first introduced in 1980.
Alejandro Kirk (C) 2022
At 22-years-old Kirk had one of the best offensive seasons by a catcher in Blue Jays history when he led all AL catchers with a .285 average, .372 on-base percentage and tied for for the most hits (134) and finished second in home runs (14).
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (1B) 2021
Guerrero Jr. has just one Silver Slugger award so far and it came in during his best offensive season when he hit a career high 48 home runs. He also led all first basemen with 188 hits and finished second with a .311 batting average.
Marcus Semien (2B) 2021
Semien set the record for home runs by a second baseman in a single season in his only year with the Blue Jays, smashing 45 bombs to go along with his 173 hits and 102 RBIs.

Teoscar Hernández (OF) 2021
Hernández claimed his second Silver Slugger and first in a full season at 28-years-old. Hit finished second among all outfielders with 163 hits, his 32 home runs ranked fifth and his .296 batting average was second best.

Hernádez's breakout season came during the shortened 2020 COVID campaign. He finished second in home runs among outfielders with 16, his .289 batting average ranked fifth and his 34 RBIs ranked sixth.
