The Toronto Blue Jays had a busy winter retooling their roster ahead of the 2025 MLB season, which is the biggest reason why this year's group this group will look quite different compared to last year.

Now that Spring Training is officially underway, we'll all be able to get a first look at how those new-look Blue Jays look. With that in mind, it's time to make some bold predictions on who will break out, who will be a bust and who could end up being a pleasant surprise over the next month.

Blue Jays breakout star: Will Wagner

The battle for the starting third base job is perhaps the biggest position battle on the Blue Jays, and we're picking promising prospect Will Wagner to stand out among the rest.

Wagner's already generated a bit of buzz among Jays fans after he complied a .305 batting average with two home runs and 11 RBI in just 24 games played after coming over in the Yusei Kikuchi trade with the Houston Astros.

His main highlight included his team rookie record-breaking five-hit game against the Minnesota Twins on Aug. 31 and he likely would have be able to accomplish even more had he not suffered a season-ending knee injury in September.

Wagner excelled last year, so don’t be surprised if he breaks out with the Blue Jays this spring and earns a roster spot.
