While the Toronto Blue Jays are a team with World Series championship aspirations, they also have plenty of promising prospects in their system who have the potential to emerge as good major leaguers down the road. The Blue Jays have multiple prospects who are having strong seasons in 2026.
Yet, there is a specific trend occurring with Blue Jays' prospects so far this season. They have multiple young players who are showing clear improvement when it comes to their power this campaign.
Three specific Blue Jays prospects who have been demonstrating impressive power this season are Sean Keys, Eddie Michiletti, and Dub Gleed.
Keys showed promise last season with his power hitting, as he had 19 home runs in 529 plate appearances for High-A Vancouver last season. Yet, he is on pace to crush those totals with Double-A New Hampshire, as he already has 14 home runs in just 209 plate appearances this season. He was also recently called up to Triple-A Buffalo, where he has four hits in 14 at-bats.
Michiletti has also impressed this season with Double-A New Hampshire. After hitting 14 home runs in 464 plate appearances last season with High-A Vancouver, he already has nine home runs in just 238 plate appearances for Double-A New Hampshire this season.
As for Gleed, he has taken a major step forward with his power this season. In 275 plate appearances last year in the minors, he had only two home runs. Yet, this season with High-A Vancouver, he already has eight home runs in just 198 plate appearances.
Last season, Dub Gleed hit two home runs in 277 plate appearances.

He's already at eight in only 194 plate appearances.
Bieber & Kirk return to the Blue Jays could be on the way
There's other news emerging from the farm that isn't about Blue Jays' prospects. Injured stars Shane Bieber and Alejandro Kirk are both gearing up for an important day. According to Sportnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith, Bieber will be making his second rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday (Jun. 11) and is inching closer to returning to Toronto's roster.
Shane Bieber set to start for Bisons today. It'll be his second AAA start. Last time he threw 2.2 innings, 59 pitches. Typical ramp-up would see him increase workload to ≈75 pitches here. Getting closer to MLB readiness. Blue Jays have been deliberate with him so far in '26.

Meanwhile, Jays Nation's Thomas Hall reported that Kirk is set to play on Thursday and Friday for Triple-A Buffalo and could return to the Blue Jays' roster for their upcoming series against the New York Yankees.
Alejandro Kirk will catch tonight & tomorrow (Shane Bieber's next rehab start) for AAA Buffalo. There's a chance he could return Friday vs NYY. #BlueJays will wait to see how he feels afterwards.

"We'll kind of play it by ear," Schneider said.
With Bieber and Kirk both being incredibly important parts of the Blue Jays' roster, the team will be hoping that both players suffer no setbacks in their upcoming rehab appearances with Triple-A Buffalo. If all goes well, the Blue Jays could get them back shortly. With Toronto being in a tight playoff race, it would be huge for those postseason aspirations if Bieber and Kirk are given the green light to return soon.
