While the Blue Jays started the 2025 season out slow, they've begun to rack up wins in bunches thanks to some strong play from key members of their roster.
For these five players, that strong play could lead to some new career milestones.
5 Blue Jays players who are on pace to set new milestones
Daulton Varsho: 30 home runs
Varsho is having a breakout season and currently leads the team with eight home runs despite only playing in 22 games. He is playing like the player that the Blue Jays traded for, and is on pace to best his career high for homers in a season (27).
Six home runs in 12 games for Daulton Varsho.

Varsho smashed 18 homers with the Blue Jays in 136 games, but his revamped swing appears to be doing wonders this year. He's barreling the ball more than ever (16.9%), and is getting more pitches to hit thanks to the power bats in Toronto's lineup.
If there was ever a year for Varsho to top this mark, it's this one.
Chris Bassitt: 190 strikeouts
The 'Hound on the Mound' has been the Blue Jays most reliable starter so far this season, and has recorded 63 strikeouts in 61 1/3 innings. The veteran right-hander set his career high in strikeouts in 2023 (186), but he's on pace to sneak past this year.

The 'Hound on the Mound' has been the Blue Jays most reliable starter so far this season, and has recorded 63 strikeouts in 61 1/3 innings. The veteran right hander set his career high in strikeouts in 2023 (186), but he's on pace to sneak past that this year.
Bassitt's ability to pitch through high-leverage situations is also what has made him an ace this season. While the Blue Jays lack a formidable ace in the rotation, Bassitt has been pitching like one.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr.: 200 hits
Guerrero finished one hit away from reaching this mark last year after a late season power surge nearly brought him to 200 hits.
Guerrero's currently averaging a hit a game (59 hits through 57 games) so he'd need a late-season power surge to get there, but that's nearly what got him over the hump last year.
Guerrero had 62 hits at this point last year before getting 34+ hits in June, July and August. His bat is starting to heat up after a cold April, which means that he should be racking up hits in bunches soon.
José Berríos: 200 innings
Berríos has made exactly 32 starts in each of the last four seasons and is on pace to reach that mark again. And, if he does that this year, he should eclipse the 200 innings for the second time in his career. He's gone at least five innings in all of his starts this year, and has gone at least six innings in each of his last three starts.
'La Makina' is known for being a hard-working reliable starter, and his ability to pitch deep into games has been a huge asset for the Blue Jays.
Ernie Clement: 30 doubles
After a solid season at third base last year, Clement's in the midst of an offensive breakout for the Blue Jays. Clement hitting .500 (9-for-18) across his last four games, and is in the midst of a strong May (.298 average).
While he homered on both Thursday and Friday, his power to the gaps has been equally as impressive this year. Clement's already tallied nine doubles this season and seems to be well on his way to eclipsing his previous career-high of 21.

In fact, Clement's on pace to finish with 30 doubles, which would be a big milestone for a guy not really known for his bat. While he's only in the fourth percentile in hard-hit rate, he's in the 98th percentile in squared-up rate.
Clement's proven his worth and has shown why he's an important part of the Blue Jays core.
