The Blue Jays have a big season approaching in 2025 for more than just a rebound. Getting back to the postseason is the big goal and Toronto needs their veterans to lead them there.

Four of those veterans are closing in on some big milestones in their careers and if they accomplish them in 2025, then that could be what's needed to get them back to the playoffs. Let's take a look at four players who are very close to picking up big accolades in their careers.

These four Blue Jays are on the verge of accomplishing big time milestones in 2025

Starting off is Bo Bichette, who is coming off a disappointing year in 2024, but he inched his way closer to 100 career home runs in that season. Although he is on the trade block, Bichette is at 93 career homers and if he bounced back by swinging the bat like he did in 2021-2023, he should obtain his 100th easily in 2025. If he is healthy, he should reach this big moment in his career and needs just seven to obtain it.

A similar bat is Daulton Varsho, who is also close to hitting his 100th home run, but he is much further away than Bichette. The best defensive outfielder in baseball has some power at the plate, which has set him up with 79 career home runs. Getting 21 in a season is not out of the picture for him either as in 2022, he belted 27, then 20 in 2023, and 18 in 2024. Although he has not hit at least 21 since 2022, it is still feasbile for him to gain this accomplishment in 2025.

After a monster 2024 season where Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was an MVP candidate, he set himself up for a major career accolade. He is just 95 hits away from 1,000 hits and should easily reach that in his age 26 season. He had 199 last season, so this could happen in the first half of the 2025 season. This consistency from Guerrero Jr. is going to land him a monster contract, but it's a matter of time to see if the Blue Jays can keep him.

Lastly is for the veteran right hander Jose Berrios, who has been conistently reliable throughout his entire career. He is closing in on 1,500 strikeouts in his career and his conistency should get him that in 2025. He is 157 strikeouts away and he has gotten over that in a season four times in his career, most recently in 2023. Berrios will once again be at the head of the rotation and if he keeps up what he has done, this accolade should come no problem.

These four milestones will be very fun to watch for in 2025. All four players that are closing in on one should obtain it this season, which is quite exciting.
