The Toronto Blue Jays have come out of the gates strong, and as the 2025 season moves along, fans are beginning to become cautiously optimistic that the Blue Jays getting After a tough series against the New York Mets, the Blue Jays were able to bounce-back by nabbing three out of four from the Red Sox. Here are three things to know from the series.

The loss came with a tough break

Their fourth game went to extra innings and ended up coming down to the wire. While the Blue Jays were able to pick up a run in the top of the 10th inning, a tough error on a double play ball led to the team being unable to get an out in the bottom of the inning, and the Red Sox picked up a 4-3 win.

That said, the Blue Jays still played well and shouldn't hang their heads after a hard-fought series.

Bo Bichette & George Springer shined offensively

Two players who looked really strong in the series were Bo Bichette and George Springer. Bichette had four RBI, while Springer drove in five runs and added a home run.

Springer has been a pleasant surprise offensively, and even after a small injury scare against the Mets, his ability to produce at the plate has helped the Blue Jays continue to find the win column.

Bichette has yet to hit a home run this season, but he is up to eight RBI and is beginning to heat up.

Bassitt pitched well, didn't win again

Bassitt got the start in the final game of the season and continued his strong start to the season.

While he allowed just one run through 5 2/3 innings, he allowed just one run. Unfortunately, the team wasn't able to gift him a much-deserved win. His impressive outing adds to what has been a strong start to the season for Bassitt, who has just a 0.98 ERA through 18 1/3 innings with 21 strikeouts and a 1.09 WHIP.

The Blue Jays are back in action on Friday with a three-game series against the Baltimore Orioles.
