While the big league club has certainly performed under their expectations this season, there are some players in the Toronto Blue Jays system that have been worth keeping an eye on day-in and day-out. Three of them just happen to be playing in their first professional seasons with the Dunedin Blue Jays' the clubs' Single-A affiliate.

Those prospects are JoJo Parker, Juan Sanchez and Blaine Bullard. It's a trio of prospects of which people don't have to squint to hard to see that these three could play a huge role in shaping the future core of this franchise. Yes, they are very young and are having success at one of the lowest levels of pro-ball in North America - but it's an encouraging start and fans of the Blue Jays should start getting familiar with their names.

Parker, Sanchez and Bullard could be on the "no-trade" list at this year's deadline.

While GM Ross Atkins and the front office will be looking to improve the big league club at this year's trade deadline, this group should probably be on their "no trade" list. It's rare to say that for a few players who haven't even reached their 20th birthday considering how much can change between now and the time they are ready for big league action. However, all three are showing signs of having true big league potential.

These three prospects could shape the future core of the Toronto Blue Jays

Parker, who was drafted in the first round by the Blue Jays in 2025 has put together a .248/.378/.435 slash line through his first 58 games (going into Jun. 22). He's hit seven home runs, driven in 38 RBIs, stolen 18 bases and has a 121 wRC+. While he's struck out 66 times, he's walked 41 which is a 15.6% BB/9 rate compared to a 25.2% K/9 rate.

Parker has also produced a .322 BABIP while mostly playing shortstop, but getting some reps in at third base as well. The 19-year-old is also listed as the No. 29 prospect on MLB.com's Top 100 and is really discovering his power stroke over the last week or so, hitting three home runs in his past four games.

Sanchez is a 6'3" 180 lbs 18-year-old from the Dominican Republic. He joined Dunedin in the middle of April and after a slow start he has really found his footing. He has slashed .245/.320/.391 with four home runs and 24 RBIs through his first 47 games. He has racked up 55 strikeouts with only 16 walks, but for his age he's showcasing tantalizing power from the right side to go along with some sneaky speed for his size with his six stolen bases.

Sanchez plays the same positions as Parker, but is getting more reps at third than shortstop while also spending time as the team's DH. As the team's No. 6 prospect he's likely due for a promotion before the season ends.

Last, but not least, there is Bullard, a 12th round draft pick out of Klein Cain High School in Houston, Texas. Even though there was some hype around Bullard, he was picked up late in the draft thanks to a lot of teams being scared off by his commitment to Texas A & M. They landed him for $1.6 million which is the biggest signing bonus ever given to a player in that round.

It seems like it is turning into a worthwhile investment as Bullard has hit .260/.331/.410 with a .351 BABIP and six home runs in 56 games played. The 19-year-old outfielder has swiped 24 bags and has been caught stealing just three times.

Like the other two prospects, Bullard's pitch recognition needs some work, with 72 strikeouts and only 19 walks in 227 at-bats, but scouts love his work ethic and the fact that he can hit from both sides of the plate is an added bonus.

It could be another three years before we can realistically expect any of these guys to make an impact on the big league club. Their MLB ETA is set for 2029 and who knows what the major needs will be of the big league club at that point. But for now, this is a trio of players who are so young but showing so much promise that it's worth keeping an eye on.
