Errors by the Lugnut defense caused this game to look more one sided. The Lugnuts allowed 4 un-earned runs Sunday. Although there were plenty of issues the pitching did not help the situation. Like pouring salt on an open wound the Lugnut pitchers combined to allow 13 hits. Shane Dawson allowed 10 of those hits and 1 was a 2 run homer by Tanner English. English would continue to haunt the Lugnut pitchers through out the game as he went 3-4 with the 2-run homer, 3 runs scored, and 3 RBI before the game was over. He was only a double short of the cycle out of the 9th spot in the Kernels lineup.
On offense the Lugnuts just could not get base runners. The offense only collected 5 hits and 2 of those hits were solo home runs. Rowdy Tellez continues to rake and collected hit league leading 45th RBI on his 7th homer of the year. Ryan McBroom also popped a ball of out the park for his 3rd of the year. The Lugnuts were just unable to get anything going Sunday to make the game interesting. The defensive issues were just to much to over come.
Line of the night
Ryan McBroom 3-5 with a double, a home run, 2 runs scored, and an RBI
