Both teams go off to a hot start in this one. The Tin Caps got to Sean Reid-Foley early and hit him up for 3 runs in the first. The Lugnuts came in and polished off 4 runs of their own in the first to set a pace for the game. Reid-Foley settled down and shut down the Tin Cap attack for the next 4 innings. Chase Mallard came on to pitch the rest of the game and scattered 7 to allow only 2 more runs.
As Reid-Foley found it on the mound the offense continued to crush it. Rowdy Tellez continued his recent success with 2 doubles that were good for a season high 4 RBI’s. Richard Urena went and impressive 3-4 with a home run, 4 runs scored, and 2 RBI. The top of the order set the pace. Anthony Alford walked 4 times and scored 4 times!
