This post serves as a quick reminder to fans that the Toronto Blue Jays are hosting their annual State of the Franchise event tonight, which kicks off at 6:30pm EST and can be streamed live at BlueJays.com.

This will be my first year attending and I’ll be interested to hear what questions Blue Jays fans will have for both GM Alex Anthopoulos and President Paul Beeston. John Gibbons was at the event last year but I’m not sure if he will be there this time around. Blue Jays play-by-play announcer Buck Martinez will play host to this year’s event.

I’m also not entirely sure how the question process works but I believe questions needed to be pre-submitted to the Blue Jays brass ahead of time. That’s kind of a bummer since I was hoping to round up a few questions in the comments section in this post but if the event were an open forum, what questions would you ask at the event?

Mine would be as follows:

"“If things don’t work out this year and the team is out of contention at the trade deadline would you consider a reboot by trading your top assets?” (eg. Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion, Colby Rasmus, Jose Reyes)"

A little negative, I know. Here’s to hoping we never have to find out the answer.
