Although the 2025 season isn't over for the Toronto Blue Jays with the team pursuing a postseason spot and chasing their first division title in a decade, it has come to an end for one of their minor league affiliates, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
The Blue Jays' Double A affiliate struggled in 2025 finishing with a 56-81 record after their 7-3 win against the Chesapeake Baysox in the season finale on Sunday afternoon. Despite the rough record, the Fisher Cats managed to sweep all six games against the Baysox to conclude 2025.
It wasn't a completely lost season though, as there were several prospects that had solid seasons, something the Blue Jays will hope they can carry over into 2026.
Blue Jay prospects that were solid in 2025 in New Hampshire
Some of the Blue Jay prospects had success in Double-A were eventually called up to Triple-A to play for the Buffalo Bisons, where some are still currently playing. The following list of prospects were mainly Double-A main stays.
Charles McAdoo
In 2024, Charles McAdoo played in 37 games for New Hampshire after being acquired at the trade deadline from Pittsburgh. In 2025, McAdoo turned into New Hampshire's best player in the lineup. McAdoo led New Hampshire in several significant offensive categories as he piled up110 hits,16 home runs, 45 RBIs, 24 doubles, 45 walks, 34 stolen bases. and 62 runs scored. With the year he had in Double A offensively, it's clear that McAdoo has the ability to build upon this in 2026.

Cade Doughty
Middle infielder Cade Doughty began 2025 playing in seven games in Single-A with the Dunedin Blue Jays. Doughty was then called up to Double-A, where he stayed on the roster for the remainder of the season. Doughty played in 104 games, the second-highest on New Hampshire's roster only to McAdoo. Doughty's 81 hits were the second-highest on New Hampshire's roster as well while Doughty also finished fifth in RBIs with 33.
Peyton Williams
2025 was Peyton Williams' first season in Double-A. Although he struggled to the finish line, ending with a .217 average, Williams finished tied for fourth on New Hampshire's roster with nine home runs and tied for second on the team with 39 RBIs. Finishing in the top four in home runs and RBIs is something Williams can be proud of in his first season at this level and something he can build off going into 2026.
Grant Rogers
In 2025, pitcher Grant Rogers made the jump from pitching in A+ to Double A. While in Double A, Rogers arguably turned into New Hampshire's best starter. In 20 starts, Rogers led New Hampshire with eight wins and 110.2 innings pitched, while recording a 4.07 earned run average.
On a struggling pitching staff, Rogers was a big bright spot and he started the final game of the season against the Baysox. He left the year on a high note by earning the win while pitching six innings and striking out five Baysox batters.
With the Fisher Cats 2025 season done, the only Blue Jays minor league affiliate still playing are the Bisons. The Bisons have six remaining games, all at home to close out the 2025 season against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders this week at Sahlen Field.
