Have a monumental October, Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
The face of the franchise made history for the Toronto Blue Jays Thursday night when he hit his fifth home run of the 2025 postseason, breaking Jose Bautista's 2015 record. The home run came in the seventh inning after Vladdy hit a solo shot to right-center field.

It was just one of many big moments in Toronto's big Game 4 win over the Seattle Mariners to even the series at two.
Vladdy breaks postseason franchise record in Seattle
The days of Vladdy being unable to perform in the postseason in his first three runs at October baseball are well behind us. 2025 has been a breakout postseason for Vladdy, and he's finally showing the baseball world what he's made of.
Guerrero Jr. is batting .455, with an on-base percentage of .500, a slugging percentage of .970, 11 RBIs, and, of course, the five home runs. It all started on October 4 in his first at-bat of the postseason. He crushed a solo home run to open the scoring against the Yankees in Game 1 of the ALDS. However, no home run was bigger than what happened the following day, crushing the Blue Jays' first postseason grand slam.

In a postgame interview with Sportsnet's Hazel Mae, Vladdy stated he's simply trying to do his job. "I give all my heart to this team, to this fanbase," said Guerrero Jr. "To me, I don't think about it. I just play, have fun and try to do my job."
The home run Thursday night also helped break another Blue Jays franchise record for most home runs in a postseason with 17. According to JustBaseball on X, Vladdy is also the second player in MLB history to hit five home runs before the World Series, joining Albert Pujols in 2004.
The Blue Jays look to continue their winning ways Friday night for Game 5 before coming back home for Game 6 on Sunday.
