Last week, MLB posted a list of the 20 best finishes from the 2025 season. The Toronto Blue Jays cracked the list five times. While we take a stroll down memory lane, fair warning, some of these may bring back bad memories for Blue Jays fans.

5. July 2: 11-9 win vs. the New York Yankees
The Blue Jays could not have gotten off to a better start against the Yankees on July 2. Toronto racked up five runs before recording an out, thanks to an RBI double from Alejandro Kirk and a three-run home run from Addison Barger. Later in the first inning, Davis Schneider hit a two-run home run, the first of two homers for Schneider in the game.
But after falling behind 7-0 in the first inning, the Yankees fought all the way back. When the Blue Jays came to the plate in the bottom of the eighth, the score was tied 9-9. Barger came to bat with runners on second and third with two outs. Devin Williams threw a wild pitch, giving the Blue Jays the go-ahead run. Barger then hit an RBI single, handing the Blue Jays an 11-9 win. The win tied the Blue with the Yankees for the top spot in the AL East after being eight games back of New York on May 28.
