After the Toronto Blue Jays emptied a fair chunk of their bank to land elite starting pitcher Dylan Cease on Wednesday, they will certainly need to make some more valued deals going forward to make all the pieces fit. With that in mind, Black Friday couldn’t have come soon enough as there is bound to be some great deals waiting for avid shoppers everywhere.

In the case for the Blue Jays, they have actually been presented with an awesome Black Friday deal, courtesy of Andy McCullough of The Athletic (subscription required). He gracefully drew up a rare, two-for-one special featuring star shortstop Bo Bichette and top free agent Kyle Tucker for one low price of about $500 million. McCullough further elaborated that the Blue Jays have come up short in free agency in recent years, but this time it will be their year.

Sure, the $500 million doesn’t sound too, too much of a huge discount, but considering just Vladimir Guerrero Jr. himself was worth $500 million, getting two sustainable, long-term elite talents in Bichette and Tucker for almost the same amount makes it a deal that no one should ever turn down. In addition, considering that Spotrac has Bichette’s projected salary close to $190 million over eight years and Tucker’s close to $400 million over 10 years, then the potential $90-100 million in savings is definitely worth it.

After all, with Bichette, you get a player that knows exactly how to hit. Having been through the ups and downs with the Blue Jays throughout his MLB career, no one wants to win it more with the franchise than Bichette (okay, maybe his buddy Guerrero as well).

As for Tucker, you have a five-tool star that could provide valuable contributions at the plate, on the basepaths and in the field all at the same time. In fact, he has the potential ceiling to become one of the Blue Jays’ best outfielder of all time if he ends up joining the franchise.

More importantly, the duo of Bichette and Tucker together can average 191 runs scored, 55 home runs, 198 RBIs and 38 stolen bases worth of offensive output each season while hitting for a high average and OPS. When teaming them up with the likes of Guerrero, George Springer and hopefully a revitalized Anthony Santander for 2026, the Blue Jays could have their closest resemblance to the powerful WAMCO lineup from the early 1990s as one could get.
