This past season, the Toronto Blue Jays and fans got to witness the scintillating debut of Trey Yesavage in the major leagues. Yesavage played a key role in helping the Blue Jays reach the World Series despite having only joined the team in late September. It appears as though the young phenom has more or less secured a role for the upcoming season with the big league club.

With the number of promising prospects in the Blue Jays’ organization, many will also be looking for their opportunity to reach the majors in 2026. As a result, we will take a look at three Blue Jays top prospects that we predict will be make the jump.

Predicting which Blue Jays prospects will make their league debuts in 2026

INF Josh Kasevich

As one of the fortunate survivors of the Rule 5 Draft for Toronto, shortstop Josh Kasevich had been consistently among the Blue Jays top 13 prospects in the system for each of the past three seasons, according to MLB Pipeline. Following back-to-back solid minor league campaigns in 2023 and 2024, Kasevich was poised to make his big league in 2025 before injury woes wiped out the majority of his season. In the end, the 24-year-old shortstop appeared in just 29 games for Triple-A Buffalo and batted an uncharacteristic .173 with a .456 OPS, along with zero home runs and six RBIs.

However, Kasevich participated in the Arizona Fall League with the Glendale Desert Dogs to make up for lost time. He began to show some signs of recapturing his previous form, posting a .255 average along with 10 runs scored, four RBIs and three stolen bases with 17 walks to just 11 strikeouts in 17 games played.

With the uncertainty of whether Bo Bichette will be returning to Toronto for the 2026 season, Kasevich could eventually see time in the majors this season.

OF Yohendrick Pinango

Also somehow managing to not get selected during the Rule 5 Draft, one of the Blue Jays’ breakout prospects from last season was outfielder Yohendrick Pinango. Pinango had a strong start to his 2025 minor league campaign with Double-A New Hampshire, where he compiled a .298 average, .928 OPS, eight home runs, 23 RBIs and five stolen bases in 47 games played.

In the end, Pinango would earn his well-deserved promotion to Triple-A Buffalo and finished with a solid .258 batting average, .790 OPS, with 57 runs scored, 29 doubles, two triples, 15 home runs and 70 RBIs in 131 games overall. If it hadn’t been for the overcrowded outfield depth in Toronto, he might have already made his big league debut this past year.

Nevertheless, after seeing how many outfielders the Blue Jays went through in 2025, there is a high probability that Pinango is one hot start away next season from getting the call to the majors in 2026.

P Ricky Tiedemann

Many of us have been patiently awaiting for the arrival of Ricky Tiedemann. After all, Tiedemann had been at one point in time the No. 1 pitching prospect in the organization across various sources. In particular, he put together a sensational 2022 professional baseball debut that saw him go through three minor league levels while posting a sub-2.50 ERA with 117 total strikeouts in just 78.2 innings pitched.

However, despite having already reached Triple-A by the end of 2023, Tiedemann’s quest to the big leagues have been beset by multiple injuries during the past three years. Most notably, the 23-year-old lefty had to undergo Tommy John surgery in 2024 after just eight starts and has been out of action and recovering ever since. Nevertheless, once healthy, it's easy to envision Tiedemann joining Yesavage with the big league club.
