The Toronto Blue Jays enter free agency with six players that are heading to the open market. Obviously, none bigger then their middle infield star Bo Bichette. He is the player that every fan wants to see re-signed.

After Bichette, there is also Chris Bassitt, Seranthony Dominquez, Ty France, Max Scherzer and Isiah Kiner-Falefa (IKF). But, where exactly will these players end up?

Predicting where the Blue Jays' 6 free agents end up

Bo Bichette - Blue Jays, 10 years $300 Million

Starting with Bichette, Jays Journal predicts that he will be staying put with the Blue Jays for 10 years, $300 million. Logically, it makes the most sense for him to stay. He has been open about his want to come back and after the World Series appearance.

From the Blue Jays perspective, their top priority should be to re-sign him. He is arguably the best hitter in the league. He and Vladdy Guerrero Jr. could go down as one of the best duos in Blue Jays history, if he were to sign an extension with the club.

Chris Bassitt - Brewers, 1 year $18 Million

Next up, Chris Bassitt. As much as it would be nice to see him return to the Blue Jays, it doesn’t seem likely. Due to that, Jays Journal predicts that he will sign with the Milwaukee Brewers for one year, $18 million.

Despite him expressing an interest to return to Toronto, it just doesn’t seem likely. But his fit with the Brewers makes sense. They are looking for a veteran arm at the back half of their rotation. Bassitt brings veteran presence, is extremely durable and can pitch anywhere in that three-to-five range in the rotation.

Seranthony Dominguez - Blue Jays, 2 years, $20 million

Dominguez seems like another lock for the Blue Jays. They need bullpen help, which is an area that they will spend a good portion of money to improve. And that starts with signing Dominguez to a two-year $20 million deal.

Last season, he split time with the aforementioned Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles. He was good, he set a career-high in innings pitched and had a 3.16 ERA. He is a good secondary setup man, and he can be used as a seventh inning pitcher for a club that needs to add more hard-throwing arms in the bullpen.

Max Scherzer - Tigers, 1 year, $15 million

Much like Bassitt, Scherzer is another player that fans would love to see return to the organization. However, it doesn’t seem like it’ll be likely. As a result, Jays Journal predicts that he will be returning to where it all started, in Detroit with the Tigers on a one-year $15 million contract.

Scherzer has missed a lot of time over the last few seasons. However, the 41-year-old wouldn’t have a huge role in the rotation. He would likely be the fifth starter in their rotation, and at times, could be used as a reliever depending on the shape of their starters.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa - Yankees, 1 year, $8 million

IKF is next on the list and Jays Journal predicts that he will sign with the New York Yankees. The deal won’t be huge, but it’ll be an underrated signing when you consider his defensive ability. That was on full display during the playoff run for the Blue Jays. They would often use him when the team needed some more help shutting down the opponent late in games.

For the Yankees, his fit makes sense. He could help take some stress off of Anthony Volpe, who at times has struggled a ton on the defensive side of the ball. IKF may struggle at the plate at times, but he can be counted on as a defensive replacement to help win games.

Ty France - Guardians, 1 year, $8 million

Lastly, there is France who will want to seek out an opportunity to play as much as possible. The Cleveland Guardians are in need of a first baseman after they traded Josh Naylor this past season. Because of that, there could be a good chance that he and Cleveland have mutual interest.

If he were to sign with the Guardians, there is always the chance that they aren’t in a playoff spot down the stretch and he gets traded again. If that were to happen, the trade would most likely send him to a contending team that needs another left power bat off the bench.
