With Springer hitting free agency following the 2026 MLB season, the Jays need a replacement for him in the outfield due to Alan Roden's struggles to stick in the big leagues.

As a result, Toronto looked to inject some Canadian blood back into their lineup by finally bringing home O’Neill after two strong seasons with the Orioles. The signing is a no-brainer for the aging O'Neill, who finally gets the chance to play for his home country as he winds down his career.

Despite being plagued by injuries in recent years, the Jays couldn’t turn down the opportunity to add another power-hitting outfielder to their lineup, especially one who is hungry to bring a World Series to his home country.

Batting 8th – 2B Will Wagner

After having a tremendous debut with the Jays during the latter parts of the 2024 MLB season, Wagner goes on to prove that he's the real deal in 2025 and the year's following.

Initially deployed as a utility infielder and DH, Wagner cements his spot as the Jays’ everyday second baseman following Giménez’s shift over to shortstop. He may not have the power potential that was initially projected, but he hits close to a .300 while getting on-base to set the table for the top of the lineup.

Batting 9th – CF Daulton Varsho

While Varsho never lived up to the power potential that was projected from him, he still provides Gold Glove caliber defense in center field. With a batting average around .230 and a power output between 15-20 home runs, he essentially becomes Kevin Kiermaier with a little more power.

As a result, Varsho becomes a fixture at the bottom of the Jays’ lineup, delivering damage from the ninth spot and setting things up for the big boys at the top.
