Batting 3rd – 3B Alex Bregman

After a couple of frustrating seasons where the Boston Red Sox fail to reach the MLB Playoffs, Bregman decides to opt-out of his contract in search of a legitimate contender.

And, with the huge contracts of George Springer and Kevin Gausman coming the books after 2026, the Jays aim big and finally land him two years after they initally planned.

Bregman provides big-time protection for Guerrero in the lineup, while making solid contributions on offense and defense.

Batting 4th – DH Teoscar Hernández

After putting together some fantastic seasons of 30+ home runs and 100+ RBIs with the Los Angeles Dodgers, a 35-year-old Teoscar Hernández decides to return to the Blue Jays in 2028 during free agency for a second go-around with the team.

His highly-anticipated reunion gives the club financial flexibility, and he becomes the everyday designated hitter.

Batting 5th – LF Anthony Santander

No matter how hard he tires, Santander fails to replicate his numbers from his 44-home run, 102-RBI campaign in 2024.

Nevertheless, Santander he eventually settles to still be a solid contributor and averages 30 home runs and 80 RBI per season with Toronto. His fielding is suspect at times, but it's still considerably better than Hernández's.

Batting 6th – C Alejandro Kirk

The Blue Jays added Kirk to their long-term core by inking him to a five-year extension in the offseason, and he'll make that decision look great by putting up solid numbers on both offense and defense.

After two down years, Kirk regains the offensive stroke he had during his 2022 All-Star season and hits close to .280 with double-digit home runs and 60+ RBIs while taking over as the team’s No. 1 catcher.
