Happy Mother’s Day! After a thrilling 10-8 come-from-behind win by the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday, they will look for their first series win in over three weeks as they face the Minnesota Twins for the rubber match on Sunday. The Blue Jays (18-21) currently sit in last place in the AL East Division, whereas the Twins (23-16) fell half a game behind the Cleveland Guardians for the AL Central Divison lead after Saturday’s loss.

Probable starting pitchers

  • Alek Manoah will be making his second start of the season for the Blue Jays. Manoah had a rough go in his first start against the Washington Nationals when he gave up 7 runs (6 earned) on 6 hits with 4 walks and 6 strikeouts over just 4 innings pitched. He will look to polish his game and bounce back against a Twins team that just suffered a demoralizing loss just the day prior.
  • Minnesota will send 28-year-old right-handed pitcher Bailey Ober to the mound. Ober had been fantastic for the Twins ever since his dreadful season debut in which he surrendered 8 runs in just 1.1 innings pitched. For the season, he sports a 3-1 record with a 4.42 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, along with 35 strikeouts in 36.2 innings of work. Ober will look for his fourth win of the year on Sunday.
