Toronto Blue Jays probable pitchers & starting lineups vs. Milwaukee Brewers, May 31
After a 7-2 victory in Tuesday night's contest, the Toronto Blue Jays are now winners of three of their last four games. The first-place Milwaukee Brewers are no slouch this season, so it's encouraging to see the Jays beat up on quality teams for a change. After the game, the Jays officially moved out of last place in the American League East, above only the Red Sox.
Probable starting pitchers
- Right-hander Alek Manoah is in line to make his 12th start of the year against the Brew Crew. Manoah, 25, has struggled mightily to begin 2023, with no real improvements in sight. He appears to have ran into a complete loss of control (38 walks in 53+ innings) and is allowing the opposition to reach base at an alarmingly high rate. On the year, he is 1-5 with a 5.53 ERA, 6.15 FIP and an ERA+ of 75.
- For the Brewers, 32-year-old Julio Teheran is going to make his second start of the year. Only just recently signed to a contract, Teheran is fresh off of a nice start in which he went five innings and allowed just one run while striking out five and walking a batter. The two-time All-Star is looking to prove he still has something left in the tank after dealing with a whole slew of injuries in recent years.
