Monday evening's 11 inning thriller resulted in a 6-3 victory for the Toronto Blue Jays over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Daulton Varsho, Whit Merrifield, Kevin Kiermaier and Matt Chapman combined to provide the necessary offense while a pitching combination led by José Berríos, Jay Jackson, Yimi García and Jordan Romano secured the victory. Tuesday night's game is going to be another late one as the two clubs are once again looking at a 10:10 pm ET first pitch.

Probable starting pitchers

  • Right-hander Chris Bassitt is set to take the mound for the Blue Jays for his 22nd start of the season. The 34-year-old is in the first of a three-year contract he signed with the Jays this past offsesaon and has largely been exactly what the club needed him to be. So far on the season, Bassitt is 10-5 with a 3.92 ERA, 4.55 FIP and 107 ERA+.
  • The Dodgers will be sending lethal left-hander Julio Urías to the mound to make his 15th start of the 2023 campaign. Urías, 26, has historically been one of the best hurlers on the Dodgers' staff but has been experiencing a bit of a down year. In just over 75 innings of work this year, he is 7-6 with a 5.02 ERA, 4.76 FIP and 89 ERA+. Notably, he has seen an uptick in H/9 and HR/9 from previous years.
