This year's Toronto Blue Jays won't sniff a spot in the upcoming postseason, but that doesn't mean they haven't been fun to watch as of late. Armed with a new-look lineup consisting of multiple prospects and trade deadline acquisitions, these Jays are (very) slowly working their way back to .500, which is a much more reasonable goal than a playoff spot.

Probable starting pitchers

  • Right-hander Jose Berrios will be making his 25th start of the year for the Blue Jays. Berrios hasn't quite looked like himself this year, but his numbers are gradually improving as the season rolls on. In fact, he went seven innings of one-run ball with eight strikeouts in his last time out against the Athletics. As a whole, he's 10-9 with a 3.97 ERA and a much less impressive 5.15 FIP through 142.2 innings of work.
  • The Angels are going to be sending a pitcher with an even larger ERA-FIP gap than Berrios to the mound in Tyler Anderson. The left-hander has a 2.99 ERA and 4.39 FIP through 23 starts and 141.2 innings. He has felt like a regression candidate since early on in the year, but he continues to put up strong start after strong start. His last start consisted of six innings of one-run ball with seven strikeouts and just one walk.
