Toronto Blue Jays probable pitchers & starting lineups vs. Colorado Rockies, April 14
On the shoulders of Yariel Rodriguez and his electric big league debut, the Toronto Blue Jays were able to make a return to the win column on Saturday afternoon. They enter Sunday's action with the chance at a series victory over the last-place Colorado Rockies.
Probable starting pitchers
- Right-hander Jose Berrios is set to make his fourth start of the season and so far he's been as ace-like as they come. In 18.2 innings of work, the right-hander has a 1.45 ERA with 14 strikeouts and five walks. Through and through, he's been the ace of this Blue Jays staff in the earlygoings of the year.
- Opposite Berrios is going to be left-hander Kyle Freeland, who's been the ace of the Rockies since 2017. Freeland, 31, has a 16.03 ERA through 10.2 innings this year and currently leads the major leagues in earned runs allowed with 19. He's both struck out and walked six batters this year and is either going to allow 10 runs to the Jays or go seven shutout innings, there's no in-between.
