The 2023 Toronto Blue Jays are one of the best-looking teams on paper in the league. However, things didn't click at the right times for the club throughout the year and a division title quickly began to seem like too tall of a task.

It took until Game 161 of the year for the Jays to officially cilnch a spot in the MLB playoffs, but with a Mariners loss on Saturday night, their ticket has been punched. Up until the very last game of the regular season, it was very much up in the air whether the Jays would be traveling to Tampa or to Minneapolis to take on either the Rays or the Twins. Now that all of the seeds are finalized, Blue Jays vs. Twins will be the first postseason matchup on the docket.

American League Wild Card Series Schedule (Updated)

Since the Blue Jays weren't able to secure a division title and wound up with the third Wild Card spot, they will take on the "worst" division winner in the postseason, the Twins. The first round of the WC Series will be at Target Field and is set to kick off on Tuesday, October, 3rd.

Game One - Away Game - Tuesday, October 3rd - Time: 4:38 PM ET, TV: ESPN

Game Two - Away Game - Wednesday, October 4th - Time: 4:38 PM ET, TV: ESPN

Game Three (if necessary) - Away Game - Thursday, October 5th - Time: 4:38 PM ET, TV: ESPN

Blue Jays Projected Playoff Rotation

Kevin Gausman will start Game 1 for the Blue Jays, followed by former Twins ace José Berríos. If a Game 3 is needed, Chris Bassitt will be up next in the rotation. This means that Yusei Kikuchi, usually the Jays' No. 4 starter, will be avaiable out of the bullpen if needed.
