The Toronto Blue Jays need to get hot ASAP if they want to reclaim a wild card picture, and they took a step in the right direction on Monday night when they took down the Washington Nationals in their series opener.
Now, they need to take the next step and win again on Tuesday. Can they get it done?

Nationals vs. Blue Jays odds, run line, and total
Nationals vs. Blue Jays prediction and pick
All signs point toward the Blue Jays winning in a big way today, so I'm not going to hesitate to back their run line at +105 odds.
MacKenzie Gore gets the start for the Nationals, and it's not just his sub-par 4.38 ERA that should worry Nationals fans. It's more the fact that he's a left-handed pitcher and the Jays have absolutely crushed lefties lately.
Dating back to the All-Star Break, the Jays rank third in Major League Baseball in OPS against left-handed pitchers with a mark of .873.
Jose Berrios gets the start for Toronto tonight and he's been stellar when he gets to pitch at home, sporting a 3.09 ERA there. Even if he stumbles, he'll be supported by a bullpen that ranks fifth in ERA since the middle of July.
It's not their pitching that has let down the Blue Jays lately, it's been their offense, but now that they have a favorable pitching matchup, I expect nothing less than a blowout win for Toronto.
