Every game for the Toronto Blue Jays for the rest of the season is absolutely critical. As the Jays have gone cold, the Seattle Mariners have become the hottest team in baseball which has resulted in the Jays now sitting 1.5 games out of the playoff picture.

Today, they'll wrap up their series with the Cleveland Guardians and a win at home to clinch the series will hopefully give them some momentum as they enter a stretch of extremely winnable games.

Let's dive into the odds for today's matchup and then I'll give you my best bet.

Guardians vs. Blue Jays odds, run line, and total

Guardians vs. Blue Jays prediction and pick

With Yusei Kikuchi on the mound today, the Blue Jays have a huge advantage. No team has been worse against left-handed pitchers since the All-Star Break than the Guardians.

In that time frame, they're dead last in OPS in all of baseball against lefties at .585. They're also worst in batting average at .214. Whenever they face a left-handed starter, we should all be fading them as much as possible so that's exactly what we're going to do today.

The Guardians will be rolling with Noah Syndergaard, who has been terrible in the month of August. He has a 5.73 in four starts this month and now he is facing a tough Blue Jays offense who is desperate to get hot.

All signs point to Toronto winning big on Sunday afternoon.
