Blue Jays: When is Opening Day 2023 and what time do the Jays play?
Now that MLB has announced the game times for Opening Day 2023, we know when the Blue Jays will take the field for the first time in the upcoming season.
MLB Opening Day 2023 takes place on Thursday, March 30 and features all 30 teams. According to MLB's official release, this is the first time that every team will play their first game on the same day since 1968.
What time do the Jays play on Opening Day?
The Blue Jays begin their season on the road with a three-game interleague series against the St. Louis Cardinals. Their Opening Day game is scheduled for a 4:10 p.m. ET start time.
Like other years, there's a light slate of games on the second day of the season, and the Jays and Cardinals have the day off. They'll resume their series with games on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2. Both weekend games are scheduled for 2:15 p.m. ET.

After St. Louis, the Jays visit Kansas City for four games and Los Angeles to play the Angels for a three-game set. They'll finally come home to Toronto for their Home Opener on Tuesday, April 11, against the Detroit Tigers.

Around the rest of the league, the defending World Series champion Houston Astros open their season by hosting the Chicago White Sox in the lone prime-time game at 7:08 p.m. ET.
