Per MLB.com's Keegan Matheson, the Toronto Blue Jays have made three additional roster cuts to big league Spring Training. This group includes right-handers Adrian Hernandez and Casey Lawrence as well as infielder Rainer Nunez.

Again, this trio of players will not be in taking part in major league Spring Training but they will still be able to play in MLB spring games.

Of the bunch, Lawrence is the only one with experience at the game's highest level. The 35-year-old has been a part of the Blue Jays system on and off since all the way back in 2010.

Things have not gone too smoothly for him in the majors in parts of three years but he has found significant success in the high minors, especially last season. In 23 starts, he went 9-5 with a 2.79 ERA and 106 strikeouts against just 17 walks.

Lawrence will likely be a part of the Buffalo Bisons' rotation once the season starts and could potentially see time in the big leagues again if he's able to replicate his success from last year.

Hernandez, 23, is an electric relief pitcher that the Jays are said to like quite a bit. He has moved quickly through the farm system and made it all the way up to Triple-A last year.

In a combined 38 appearances last year, Hernandez posted a 4.22 ERA with 59 strikeouts in 42+ innings.

Then there's Nunez, a 22-year-old corner infielder. He was drafted by the Jays back in 2018 and has steadily been improving in each season since. He was drafted as a third baseman but there were concerns over his ability to last at the position, so he has moved over to first, where the defensive reviews are a lot better.

Last season, he appeared in a combined 121 games between two minor league levels and hit 25 doubles, 19 home runs and drove in 82 along the way. His .304 batting average is especially impressive as he showed off an ability to make consistent contact throughout the year.
