It probably won't go down in infamy like Babe Ruth's 'called shot' during the 1932 World Series, but what Greg Armsinger did on Tuesday evening certainly gives you pause to think the guy might be an actual psychic.

The MLB Network host told his co-hosts Harold Reynolds and Dan Pleasac that George Springer would lead off the game by hitting a home run against Cincinnati Reds starter Scott Barlow. Sure enough just a few pitches into the ball game, Springer went yard to set a new Blue Jays record for leadoff home runs.

Springers franchise record breaking home run is just the latest in a long line of predictions from Armsinger and it's not the first time he has made a prediction about the Blue Jays. During their 2015 American League Division Series against the Rangers, Armsinger predicted that Game 2 would go 14 innings, which it did.

In 2014, Armsinger predicted a Buster Posey walk-off home run against the Colorado Rockies during a game in August. During that years All-Star Game, Armsinger put Mike Trout on the spot by asking him to hit a triple and cash in Derek Jeter, who was playing in his final All-Star game.

During the game, Trout came through exactly as Armsinger said he would in the very first inning.

Finally, Armsinger made another big home run prediction a few years before calling Springers shot. In April 2022, Armsinger predicted that Albert Pujols would not only hit the 21 home runs he needed to get to 700 career home runs, but that he would do it specifically on a Friday night, in September, at Dodger Stadium. On September 23, Pujols and the Cardinals visited the Dodgers in LA, and he came through with number 700.
