Nothing but love between Max Scherzer and John Schneider. The future Hall of Fame pitcher and the potential 2025 Manager of the Year shared a special moment inside the teams' "party room" following the Toronto Blue Jays Game 7 win in the American League Championship Series.

While covered in beer and champagne, Schneider and Scherzer grabbed each other and shared a long bro-hug in a moment that speaks volumes about what Scherzer has meant to Schneider this season.

Max Scherzer's emotional celebration moment with John Schneider says it all

While Scherzer may have put up some of the worst numbers of his Hall of Fame career during the regular season with the Blue Jays, he was an integral part of this teams success. A two-time World Series champion, Scherzer came into Spring Training with the Blue Jays and it felt like he set the tone right away.

Players were engaged with "Mad Max" and the coaching staff, including Schneider, felt like Scherzer could be an extension of their messaging to the rest of the rotation. During spring training Schneider said, "I'm learning from him everyday. He's a Hall of Famer and the initial read is that those guys might be a little stand-offish, but he's not that way at all. I think he's actually helped veteran players more than younger players... but he's not holding anything back and he's telling guys exactly how it is."

While Scherzer's season was derailed almost immediately after coming out of his first start due to a thumb injury, he didn't sit in the corner and sulk. All throughout his rehabilitation, Scherzer could be seen in the dugout engaging with teammates, trying to impart his wisdom day in and day out.

When Scherzer did return, it made Schneider's job a little bit easier, knowing they could rely on him every fifth day during the dog days of summer and through the month of August, Scherzer was one of the best pitchers on the team compiling a 3.34 ERA in six games.

While he was having a hard time producing down the stretch, and he was left off the ALDS roster, Schneider trusted Scherzer enough to give him the start in a pivitol Game 4 matchup against the Mariners in Seattle with the Blue Jays down 2-1 in the series. Scherzer rewarded his managers faith in him with 5.2 innings of three-hits and two earned runs, and five strikeouts. He kept the Blue Jays in the game until they broke the game open and evened up the series.

Despite their being a viral moment where Scherzer told Schneider about how he was feeling on the mound, the future Hall of Famer and the Manager were clearly on the same page all along at it was something Schneider embraced in his post-game comments.

"I've been waiting for that all year - for Max to yell at me on the mound," said Schneider. And while there was some yelling in the 'party room' after the Game 7 win, it was a triumphant joyous yell emanating from a team that was one step closer to accomplishing something this franchise hasn't accomplished in over three decades.
