Fred McGriff (1B) 1989

"Crime Dog" led the league with 36 home runs, a .924 OPS and 165 OPS+ as a 25-year-old who was just really getting going on what became a Hall of Fame career. His .399 OBP, .525 SLG and .924 OPS all led the league.

George Bell (OF) 1987

Bell became Toronto's first MVP the same year he collected his third Silver Slugger. He was second in home runs with 47, behind Mark McGwire's 49. He led the league with 134 RBIs and a .605 SLG. Perhaps most impressive was his .297 ISO. Bell is one of two Blue Jays to win the award three times and the only Blue Jay to win it three years in a row.

Barfield (OF) 1986

Barfield won is first and only Silver Slugger the year he led the AL with 40 home runs, a .559 SLG a .927 OPS and 147 wRC+.

George Bell (OF) 1986

Bell became the first Blue Jay to win multiple Silver Slugger awards in '86 and he and Delgado are the only two Blue Jays to win the award three times. This second award was courtesy of Bell's 31 home runs, 108 RBIs and .309 batting average.

George Bell (OF) 1985

Bell's first Silver Sluger coincided with the Blue Jays first AL East division championship. Bell's 28 home runs was tied for second among outfielders, while he hit .275/.327/.479.

Lloyd Moseby (OF) 1983

Moseby was the first of the Blue Jays tremendous 1980s outfield trio to pick up a Silver Slugger. He finished fifth among AL outfielders in hits with 170, which included 18 home runs. He had 81 RBIs and finished with the second best OBP of .376 and fourth best SLG at .499 while his .875 OPS was second.

Damaso Garcia (2B) 1982

Garcia was the Blue Jays best offensive player in '82, with a slash line of .310/.338/.399. He had the highest batting average among second basemen in the AL and topped that group with 185 hits.
