Blue Jays Triple-A affiliate Buffalo Bisons release 2025 schedule
Buffalo Bisons will open the new season March 28 at home.
The Toronto Blue Jays' top minor-league affiliate will open the 2025 season with its earliest home date ever.
Opening Day for the Buffalo Bisons is set for 2:05 p.m. Friday, March 28, at Sahlen Field against the Rochester Red Wings of the International League. If the game is played (and considering Buffalo weather who knows if that happens), it would be just the second home opener and third Opening Day the Bisons have played in March in the team's long history. Buffalo started the 2023 season on the road March 31 in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and then opened this season at home on March 29. Fans were treated that day to a 41-degree temperature and an ice scraper as a giveaway.
The Bisons opener is also a day after the Blue Jays have their own Opening Day on March 27 against the Baltimore Orioles.

A promotional schedule will be announced later, but the biggest event of the Bisons home schedule is already set. Saturday May 31 will be Star Wars Night, a wildly popular fan favorite. The night not only includes Bisons custom jerseys and character appearances from the well-known franchise, but fans themselves dress up as Star Wars characters and see a live-action Star Wars story played out on the field and videoboard in centerfield. And of course, there's a grand finale with fireworks. Fireworks come after each Friday home game too.
Buffalo has eight weekday home games scheduled, with five Wednesday games slated for 1:05 p.m. on May 28, June 25, July 30, Aug. 13 and Aug. 20. Two Thursdays in September will have 1:05 p.m. starts (Sept. 4 and 18) as well.
