A moment of silence for the Colorado Rockies.

The Toronto Blue Jays wrapped up a three-game series against the worst team in Major League Baseball, the Rockies, in dominating, sweeping fashion. Coming off a 2-6 record dating back to July 27, the Blue Jays needed a strong turnaround and confidence boost before a week that consists of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs.

Unfortunately for the Rockies, that meant they were the punching bag for a team ready to unleash its wrath. To make matters worse for Colorado (or amazing for Toronto), the Blue Jays made a little bit of history.

The Blue Jays set two franchise records for most runs and hits in a three-game series.

In what felt like batting practice at Coors Field, the Blue Jays teamed up for 45 runs and 63 hits. Not only were the 63 hits a franchise record, but per MLB's Keegan Matheson, no team in the Modern Era (since 1901) ever reached that point. The Blue Jays eclipsed the Cleveland Browns' 1950 record of 62.

Their run differential during the series was also +39, which bumped up their season run differential from +16 to +55. It was Toronto's ninth series sweep of the season, which is the most in the Majors.

The Blue Jays' 13 homers also tied a franchise record in a three-game series, the first instance happening against the Red Sox in September 2009.

Daulton Varsho also reminded fans how vital his bat was to the lineup, as he wrapped up the series going 5-for-10 with three home runs and ten RBIs. Davis Schneider also found a resurgence, going 5-for-12, two home runs (both coming in the same game), and six RBIs.

Bo Bichette, who came out firing at the plate, batted 7-for-17. He sent out three home runs with ten RBIs. No matter where you turn in the lineup, there's somebody on the Blue Jays who most likely had a game to remember.

With an off day on Thursday, the Blue Jays now turn their attention to the NL West-leading Dodgers before coming home to take on the Cubs and the Texas Rangers. Buckle up, Blue Jays fans, it's going to be a busy week ahead.
