1977: Welcome to the show!
Beginning where it all started the Blue Jays were welcomed to “The Show” with some snow. The expansion franchise played their inaugural game at Exhibition Stadium on April 7, 1977, where it snowed before the game.
Bill Singer threw the first pitch for the Blue Jays, and it didn’t take long for the home side to pick up their very first run as Doug Ault launched a first inning solo home run. He homered again later in the game and the Blue Jays secured their first ever win, 9-5 over the Chicago White Sox.
