The start of the baseball season is less than a month away, which means that optimism is abound for every team. And while the start of spring training means that Opening Day is nearly here, it also means that there are a countless number of futures markets available for baseball bettors.
Here are three of our favorite futures bets that are available for the Toronto Blue Jays at FanDuel Sportsbook. Odds are subject to change.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 31.5 Home Runs (-110)

It's clear that Guerrero is betting on himself this season after he and the Blue Jays failed to reach an extension, so his home run total of 31.5 is just too low.
He's averaged 34 home runs per season across the last four seasons, and began to look like the 2021 version of himself in the second half last year. He hit .371 with 16 home runs over the last 63 games of the season, which would be a 41 homer pace across a full 162 game season.
If Guerrero stays healthy, which hasn't been a problem throughout his career, he should coast over this line with room to spare.
Kevin Gausman Over 169.5 Strikeouts (-113)

This number feels too low for Gausman, as he has cleared this line in three of the last four seasons. However the one time that he failed to record 170+ strikeouts was last season when he finished with 162, but part of that can be chalked up to Gausman working through some shoulder fatigue that initially popped up during spring training.
The 34-year-old right-hander is primed to see an increase in strikeouts this season. He's also one of the most durable starting pitchers in baseball, as evidenced by him recording 31 starts in each of his three seasons in Toronto. If he makes another 31 starts this year, he would only need to average 5.5 strikeouts per game to clear this Over.
Toronto Blue Jays Over 78.5 Wins (-132)

The Blue Jays should clear this win total this year after finishing last season with 74 wins despite having a subpar offense and the second-worst bullpen ERA in baseball (4.82).
Toronto's front office had a sneaky good offseason by adding Jeff Hoffman and Anthony Santander, while Bo Bichette and Guerrero should be motivated this year ahead of their respective free agencies.
And Hoffman's not the only addition on the pitching side of things, as the front office also added Max Scherzer to the rotation and Nick Sandlin and Yimi GarcĂa to the bullpen along with Hoffman. John Schneider's club will be highly motivated in 2025, and this team should have no problem getting to 79 wins this season.
