Blue Jays: Bo Bichette makes MLB The Show Players League debut
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette made his MLB The Show Players League debut last night going 3-1 in his openings matches.
MLB The Show is running an online tournament via Twitch featuring a representative from every major league team. Bo Bichette is the face of the Blue Jays for the Players League tourney and he had a good showing in his first round of games.
The contest features the MLB players participating in four three-inning games versus one another. Last night, Bichette challenged Ryne Stanek, Fernando Tatis Jr., Luke Jackson, and Lucas Giolito in the opening round.
Game 1 versus Ryne Stanek- Miami Marlins

Bichette got solo homers from himself and Teoscar Hernadez to pace him to a 2-0 win. Matt Shoemaker pitched two scoreless innings for the win while Ken Giles slammed the door for the save.

Game 2- versus Fernando Tatis Jr.- San Diego Padres
Cavan Biggio propelled the offence with a 2-run homer, a double and three runs batted in. Bichette also chipped in with a pair of doubles to edge Tatis Jr. 6-4.
Chase Anderson registered the win while Giles secured another save in the contest.

Game 3- versus Luke Jackson- Atlanta Braves
Hyun-Jin Ryu tossed a shutout while Randal Grichuk and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. both hit round-trippers. Vladdy also chipped in with two hits while Bichette swiped a bag in the 6-0 victory.
6-0 Win
Game 4- versus Lucas Giolito- Chicago White Sox
Bichette stumbled in this one losing 3-1 on the heels of a savvy pitching performance from Giolito himself. Shoemaker took the loss while Danny Jansen contributed for all the offence with a solo home run.
3- 1 Loss
Bichette will be back in action on Tuesday evening versus Lance McCullers Jr. (HOU), Jon Duplantier (ARI), Jeff McNeil (NYM) and Carl Edwards Jr. (SEA). There were over 2400 fans viewing and commenting on Bichette’s feed during the games, even teammate Randal Grichuk popped in online to check out the contest.
