Ryan McBroom Traded to KCR
According to the New York Yankees’ PR team on Twitter, INF Ryan McBroom, who was dealt by the Blue Jays to New York in July 2017 for INF Rob Refsnyder, has been traded to the Kansas City Royals. McBroom, 27, spent the 2019 season with the Triple-A Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, slashing .315/.403/.570 with 25 homers and 29 doubles in 409 at-bats.
Bichette “Graduates” the List of MLB’s Top 100 Prospects
Bo Bichette has “graduated” from the list of MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 MLB Prospects, Pipeline tweeted Saturday. With 133 big-league at-bats under his belt, Bichette has slashed .388/.371/.632 with eight home runs, 14 RBI, 15 doubles, and 22 runs scored.
Kloffenstein Named Canadians MVP
RHP Adam Kloffenstein was named the Short-Season A Vancouver Canadians’ 2019 team MVP, the club announced on Twitter Friday. Kloffenstein, 19, is currently ranked as the organization’s No. 10 prospect, and pitched to an ERA of 2.24 in 64.1 innings, adding 64 strikeouts this season.
Richard Assigned to Buffalo for Rehab
The Blue Jays have assigned left-handed pitcher Clayton Richard (lat) to Triple-A Buffalo to continue his rehab, according to Scott Mitchell of TSN and Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet. Richard, 35, has thus far pitched to an ERA of 5.96 in 45.1 frames across 10 starts.
Chisholm: “Expect [Travis] to be Non-Tendered This Winter”
Gregor Chisholm believes that the Blue Jays will non-tender second baseman Devon Travis, according to several comments made in his recent column for The Toronto Star. Travis, 28, hasn’t appeared in a major-league game since September 21, 2018, against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Hiraldo Up to Lansing
Third baseman Miguel Hiraldo, who is currently ranked as the organization’s No. 9 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, was promoted Saturday from Rookie-level Bluefield to Low-A Lansing. Hiraldo, 18, slashed .300/.348/.481 with Bluefield, stealing 11 bases and smashing seven home runs in 56 games.
