Blue Jays nicknames released for Players’ Weekend
Major League Baseball has released all the nicknames for the upcoming Players’ Weekend and the Blue Jays have some entertaining monikers, to say the least.
The Players’ Weekend which runs from August 23rd through to the 25th will see teams wear black and white jerseys along with the nicknames of their choice.
My personal favourite is rookie catcher Reese Mcguire who will be donning “Pieces” on the back of his jersey as a spinoff after the popular sweet treat “Reese Pieces”. Reliever Derek Law will keep order in the bullpen as the “Law Dog” while Teoscar Hernandez switched it up from last year going with “Mr. Seeds. The outfielder is often the dugout culprit dumping sunflower seeds on players heads after home runs.
